COLORS ARE MORE THAN BEAUTY, THEY LIE TO YOU
They do not make sense as much as you make sense of what is them to you.
(paintings of the stargazers)
colors brings in madness and various emotions we perceive.
colors create confusions and mis-guides, and not necessary harmony and life.
I don't learn much about color theory, as everyone have a unique pair of eyes and a brain which process everything that was seen differently.
I feel and I will say that, there are no proper academic theory on how color should be perform and arranged.
As I am still on a journey, I limit to be aware before moving on.
My major focus on blues has been on-going for three years.
CREATIVE // PROCESS------------
black is not a good color to start with, if you want to understand color,
though black as it seem may very basic and mysterious, not very advisable.
you are in a way halting, preventing and defining what is not you,
because of your inability to realise what you have yet to try, the other colors.
to start off with self understanding of colors, black never gives off as much possibilities as it hides and absorb all other color,
unless you mention dirty grey, like the shadings we do with pencil and charcoal drawings,
they are otherwise.
to progress, the 'primary colors' are the best starters for your creative journey.
through understanding each of them, you will understand yourself even better as time passes by,
and not be swayed by the millions of color - combinations other artists or designers have used,
because they know what they are doing for long term. ,
the colors and inspiration board may not be true to you; they sway you and make believe.
nonetheless, you can still try
well for us, whilst we are still adventuring.
don't decide on your favourite colors so soon, work along with colors you dislike and you find it awkward, it creates awareness of what you are doing.
to 'understand' colors, we have to work with various monochromatic color schemes at a time to study it,
before jumping to an array of colors.
diving into many colors at a time, doesn't make you adventurous, bold or 'surprisingly challenging' yourself
- to note
1. fooling yourself.
2. 'nothing' achieved.
3. relying on others for comments and improvements.
4. there's no awareness in creation.
with that, you won't have a calling of what color inspiration you would need in future projects.
always work with what you believe is to be all along and slowly and gradually venture out.
there are endless possibilities with working on blacks or whites,
not until you have been through colors that you were never interested to work with.
being in a state of explorations, explore freely but always be aware of what you are doing,
discover your own secrets that had all along belonged to you
Re- invented DECEPTIONS ---------------
with the software of the modern times, colors are rearranged and juxtapose through pixels.
am I to believe what I see from pixels compared to pigments?
how does it justify my art through mass sharing?
how are my eyes able to receive and accept almost all of this deceptions?
many times the softwares are more unpredictable with what it can gives off,
but nevertheless it is still a great creation as it gives us first hand impression on how it would probably turn out.
the next colors i'm looking forth is PINK
